The spare room network is a network of people who are lucky enough to be able to provide accommodation and of people made destitute because of their immigration status who are in need of accommodation. Accommodation is provided for any duration of time. The aim being to always have spare capacity in the system. We also act as matchmaker between those with and those without accommodation. The key principle is that all the relations in the project are relations of mutuality and not of dominance and dependence.

Where possible we make placements through two other charities, Refugees at Home and Room for Refugees. This is because they have much more experience than us in accommodating vulnerable people in private homes and can provide much more host support than we can.
